Mata (Martina) Durikovic is young (born 1995 in Slovakia) designer, who wanted to show, that luxury fashion cloths can also be sustainable.
When talking about the inspiration behind the materials Mata works with, she says: “I explore different techniques and variety of bioplastic use among the solid fabric, such UV digital and 3D print on top of the surface for an illusory 3D effect. Also, I use bioplastics as a replacement for traditional embroidery, besides traditional embroidery. All resulting in a home cookable, edible and fully degradable bioplastic crystal collection. Cook it! Wear it! Eat it! Vitalise plants with it!”
During London Fashion Week AS23 she presents her new collection Pink Matrix.
